Personal thermal cyclers from Techne have provided researchers with a reliable, accurate, low-cost tool for DNA amplification
techniques over the past 15 years. Today, as the throughput in many laboratories increases, Techne has expanded the range to meet these needs and the TC-3000 is now joined by the larger capacity TC-3000X and a gradient cycler, the TC-3000G.

Techne’s experience in the design and manufacture of cyclers since 1987 ensures the accuracy and reliability for quality results, everytime. Every unit is backed by Techne’s 4 year warranty.*

Exceptional block uniformity of less than ±0.2ºC at 50ºC (±0.1ºC for the TC-3000).

Fast heating rates of up to 3.6ºC/sec for quick sample ramping.**

Fast and intuitive programming with speed dial for locating programs quickly. Stored, ready-to-go templates for standard protocols and password protection for security.

Each of the three units has the same small footprint of 17 x 33cm making the TC-3000G the smallest gradient cycler in the world.

Increased Sample Capacity Heated Lid
The new additions have increased sample capacity; accommodating either 48 x 0.2ml or 30 x 0.5ml microtubes. Handling 48 individual tubes can be awkward and time-consuming so to make things easier Techne is also introducing some new consumables. 24 and 48-well plates are available for higher capacity experiments in addition to various 8-tube strips for lower throughput. When prevention of cross-contamination is a must, either FSTRIP3 with 8 individual flat caps or FSTRIP4 with a hinged strip of 8 domed caps are perfect. The heated lid temperature can be selected between 100ºC and 115ºC and is automatically disabled for incubations below 35ºC to protect the sample. The lid can also be manually disabled at any temperature, if required. TC-3000X and G models have fully adjustable, defined pressure heated lids to accommodate a multitude of consumables, whereas the TC-3000 has a sprung lid to allow any 0.2ml or 0.5ml tube to be used.

USB Communications
All units can be connected to a PC and controlled by the new Gensoft PC software, with up to 32 cyclers being linked together. The TC-3000X and G models communicate via a USB port and the TC-3000 via RS232.
